BCA - last day to designate pairs of JPs to deliver early/absentee ballots12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Last day for the board of civil authority to designate pairs of justices of the peace, assuring political balance, to deliver early or absentee ballots to voters that are ill or voters with disabilities. (three days prior to the election.) 17 V.S.A. § 2538(a)
Town Party Committees - Last day to warn meeting to nominate candidates for Justice of the Peace12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Last day for town party committee to post notice of meeting (at the town clerk's office and two other public places in the town) to nominate justice of the peace candidates in towns that failed to hold a caucus (at least three days prior to the meeting, which may be held on or before the Primary election date). 17 V.S.A. §§ 2413(b). The town committee chair must email notice of the meeting to all committee members by this date. 17 V.S.A. § 2413(b).
Clerks - Early/Absentee voter lists must be made available12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Clerks must make a list of early or absentee voters available upon request in their offices. 17 V.S.A. § 2534
Clerks - Last day to post Warning/Notice/Sample ballots/Current checklist in each polling place12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
The presiding officer of each polling place must also post a copy of the warning and notice, sample ballots and the current checklist in a conspicuous place in each polling place before the polls open on election day. 17 V.S.A. § 2523(a)
Clerks - Prepare signs regarding deposit of ballots on/near ballot boxes12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
The presiding officer shall also ensure that signs informing voters of procedures for depositing ballots are placed on or near the ballot boxes before the polls open on election day. 17 V.S.A. § 2523(b)
Town Party Committees - Last day for political parties in towns with 3,000+ voters to publish notice of caucus for nomination of justices of the peace12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Last day for political parties in towns with more than 3,000 voters to publish notice of caucus to nominate candidates for justice of the peace in a newspaper having general circulation in the town or on a non-partisan electronic news media website that specializes in news of the State or community, and on the municipality's website, if the municipality actively updates its website on a regular basis. (one day prior to the caucus, which must be held on or before the Primary election date) 17 V.S.A. § 2413(a)(2)(B).
Voters - Last day to request early/absentee ballots (until 5:00 p.m.)12:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Voters, family members, authorized persons, or health care providers may request early or absentee ballots until 5:00 p.m. or the closing of the town clerk's office on this day. 17 V.S.A. § 2531(a)

The Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA) Reference Room Hours are from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, Tuesday through Friday. The Reference Room is closed on Mondays.
Primary election – 4th Tuesday in August, even numbered years12:00 AM to 12:00 AM
A primary election shall be held on the fourth Tuesday in August in each even numbered year for the nomination of candidates of major political parties for all offices to be voted for at the succeeding general election, except candidates for president and vice president of the United States, their electors, and justices of the peace. 17 V.S.A. § 2351
