All December, January and February company Annual Reports are due by Midnight tonight! Filing after this deadline will incur a statutory reinstatement fee of $25.

Termination of Lapsed Businesses (Corporations)

12:00 AM to 12:00 AM

Automated Terminations will occur for any December, January, and February companies for failure to file their annual report by the extended May 31st deadline. Reinstatement after this date will incur a statutory $25 reinstatement fee for every year that an annual report was due and failed to file.  To reinstate simply login to our Online Business Service Center and click on File Your Annual Report. System will automatically calculate the required fee and reinstate in real time.

Town Clerks - may open/destroy used ballots/tally sheets from annual meeting (90 days after election)

In towns using Australian ballot, town clerk may open and destroy used town meeting ballots and tally sheets, except as otherwise provided by law (90 days after town meeting election). 17 V.S.A. § 2590(d)

Got Records? Now What?

Pre-registration through The Summit (Center for State Employee Development) is required. Taught by the State’s Senior Records Analyst, Rachel Muse, the first half of this three hour workshop introduces the concepts of records and information management, including best practices, tools and resources currently available.
