OneDrive for Business or ODFB is part of the State of Vermont’s subscription to Microsoft Office 365. As a personal user area intended for use and access by one individual, the Chief Information Officer and the State Archivist have designated ODFB as only suitable for transitory records, which are governed by General Record Schedule GRS-1000.1000 (Transitory Records). To help records officers & their records management teams establish the requisite policies and procedures for using ODFB in concert with GRS-1000.1000, VSARA is offering this information session on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. ARCHIVES EVENT! VSARA Open House followed by "'Blood has Told:' The Push for a 'Eugenical Solution' in the Green Mountain State" presented by Mercedes de Guardiola5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at VSARA, 1078 US RTE 2, Middlesex, VT
“Blood has told:” The Push for a “Eugenical Solution” in the Green Mountain State. Scholarship on Vermont’s eugenics movement has largely focused on the Eugenics Survey of Vermont of the 1920s, even though state officials in Vermont proposed eugenical policies as early as 1912. Mercedes de Guardiola, a senior at Dartmouth College majoring in history, examines why eugenics emerged in Vermont and the impact of the State of Vermont’s eugenical policies over the course of the twentieth century. An open house and tours of the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration will precede the program, beginning at 5 pm. De Guardiola’s presentation is scheduled for 6 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
