    Scope: Series consists of correspondence, minutes, magazine and newspaper clippings, videotapes, audiotapes, photographs, postage stamps, speeches, newsletters, reports, artifacts, press releases, and contracts. The Vermont Statehood Bicentennial Commission was created by Act No. 252 (1986) to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Vermont statehood. Some of the projects and programs the records document include the Ethan Allen reading program, the Bicentennial play, the secession debates, State Capitals program, Statehood Day (March 4, 1991), the Bicentennial Bash (August 17, 1991), and the Bicentennial Schools program, and the providing of grants.
