    Scope: Series consists of correspondence, memos, newsletters, newspaper clippings, photographs, financial records, and memorabilia. The Vermont Bicentennial Commission was created by Act No. 251 (1970); its purpose was, in part, "to plan and execute a program to commemorate properly the bicentennial of the founding of Vermont as a republic…" The records document various Bicentennial projects and grants (including town projects), transportation projects, the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration, the Vermont Bicentennial medallion, and other Bicentennial activities.
