Gloria Hurd is Appointed Executive Director of the Vermont Medical Practice Board

Secretary of State Deborah L. Markowitz has named Ms. Gloria Hurd as the Executive Director of the Vermont Medical Practice Board. Ms. Hurd of Montpelier, Vermont was selected by Secretary Markowitz from a list of candidates submitted by the Medical Practice Board following an open and competitive search. Ms. Hurd has over 20 years of state service and has previously served as Administrative Secretary for the Medical Practice Board and Administrative Secretary for former Deputy Transportation Secretary Christopher Krahn, former Natural Resources Secretary Johathan Lash, and former Attorney General Jeffry Amestoy. She also served previously as Office Manager and Secretary in the Office of Attorney General. Ms. Hurd is a graduate of Marshfield-Plainfield Union High School and has attended Plymouth State College and the University of Vermont.

Ms. Hurd replaces Barbara Neuman, Esq. who left the Medical Practice Board to be the Executive Director of the Administrators in Medicine organization in Boston, Massachusetts.
