For immediate release ______________________________________________________________________________ CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS DUE JULY 15, 1999 All candidates who have carried money forward from their 1998 election campaign, or who have raised or spent more than $500.00 since November 4, 1998, are required to file a campaign finance report on July 15, 1999 with the Secretary of State’s Office. In addition, candidates for the general assembly must also file the report with the clerk of the candidate’s house or senate district. The report covers all campaign activities for the period of November 4, 1998 through July 13, 1999, except for contributions or expenditures related to the 1998 campaign which were reported on or before December 14, 1998. Forms are available at the Secretary of State’s Office at 802-828-2363, the candidate’s Town Clerk’s Office and on-line at http://www.sec.state.vt.us. #30 |

Markowitz has named Kathy Scheele
DeWolfe as the new Director of Campaign Finance and Elections. Ms. DeWolfe graduated from
Chicago’s DePaul University College of Law in 1975 and has been working since that
time in Chicago and Vermont in private and public practice. She served as Town Attorney
for the Town of Brattleboro for six years and was the Executive Director of the Vermont
School Boards Association for four years. Ms. DeWolfe has also been a member of several
professional associations in Vermont. Ms. DeWolfe replaces Ellen Tofferi who was the
Director of Elections for ten years. #30 |

This publication is designed to help realtors, lawyers, bankers, genealogists and others who need ready access to the town clerks and treasurers offices around the state. The 1999 Guide includes the names, addresses and phone numbers of every town and county clerk and town treasurer in the state of Vermont. It also includes email addresses and fax numbers for those who have them. Additional information about Vermont’s Public Records Law and Town Clerk Public Record Fees has also been included.
