General Partnership Filings
A General Partnership is created by a written or oral agreement between two or more people. There is no special form, a copy of the agreement will do, but there are certain details that you will need to include if you file the partnership agreement. Information needed consist of: the name of the partnership, names and mailing addresses of all partners and registered agent. If the executive office is located in another state, the address of that office and the principle address of the office in VT. The signature of at least two partners is needed and the statement must be notarized. Once recorded, this type of partnership is good for a period of 5 years. The 5 years is from the date of the filing or from the date of the last amendment filed. Once the partnership has expired it can not be reinstated -a new agreement would have to be filed.
