The Importance of the Vote

List what the likely impact on the following issues would be if the majority of people "didn't" vote.

1. The democratic ideals of the U.S. Government?
   
2. The way we make, apply and enforce laws?
   
3. What our government does?
   
4. Guaranteeing the rights of all citizens?
   
5. What it means to be a "good citizen?"

Then list some of the effects when the majority of the people "do" vote on these issues. Be prepared to share your lists and support your thoughts with the class.

Now, you will participate in a group assignment.
