Who Says Politics Can't Be Fun?

First, read these four quotes:

• "...governments are instituted [created] among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." (Declaration of Independence)
• "There is no happiness without liberty, no liberty without self-government..." (The Federalist Papers, introduction by Clinton Rossiter)
• "The cure for the ills of democracy is more democracy." (President Woodrow Wilson)
• "The science of government is my duty to study...that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy." (President Thomas Jefferson)

Create a banner, slogan, campaign theme, or bumper sticker that either captures that partnership or that restates one of the four in more contemporary terms.ÝÝ(e.g. "Democracy: Use it or lose it.")

The options for what medium to use for presentation to the class will be explained to you.
